Regulations
The current Regulations for the site are set out below:
1. Ecological and Environmental Considerations
1.1. Coffins, caskets or shrouds should be made from biodegradable materials.
1.2. Embalmed bodies will be accepted only in exceptional circumstances.
1.3. Planting of wild indigenous flowers on a plot is permitted. Cultivated varieties and trees are not allowed.
1.4. Graves in the meadow are marked by a numbered stone plaque. An epitaph may be inscribed on the reverse side at your expense. Other memorials or markings are not permitted in the meadow.
1.5. (Woodland only) Graves may only be marked with wooden or biodegradable plaques. Other memorials must be authorised by me.
1.6. The placing of artificial flowers, toys, ornaments or other non-biodegradable objects is not permitted.
1.7. Flowers and other tributes may be placed on the grave following interment and will be removed at a later date. Flowers may be laid on graves at any time.
1.8. The placing of seats, benches, stools etc. is not permitted, as there is now adequate seating on the burial ground.
1.9. The use of Chinese lanterns is strictly forbidden as the burial site is situated in an agricultural area and could cause fire damage if they were to land nearby.
1.10. Any non-permitted items placed on graves or left in the site will be removed without notice and disposed of as I see fit.
2. Legal and contractual issues
2.1. Burials will only take place following receipt of the correct documentation.
2.2. No exhumations will be permitted except by lawful authority.
2.3. Refunds can be made only for reserved plots but may be subject to an administrative fee. Please refer to our cancellation policy at: www.naturalburialoxfordshire.co.uk/cancellation-policy.html
2.4. Complaints will be dealt with in accordance with our Complaints Policy as available from our web-site at: www.naturalburialoxfordshire.co.uk/complaints.html
2.5. Personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which can be found online at: . http://www.naturalburialoxfordshire.co.uk/privacy-policy.html.
2.6. I accept no liability for injury to any person, damage to or loss from any vehicle whilst visiting the burial ground.

3. Access and Parking
3.1. Vehicles should park in the field on the left hand side of the entrance gate or on the road outside Fairspear Cottage.
